Baptism and Misc. August Pictures
Jordan was baptised on August 8 at First Byron CRC. It was a wonderful event for our entire family. Following the baptism, we had everyone over for lunch. Jordan did a good job during the baptism. He made a little bit of noise at first, but after the congregation sang a couple hymns, he fell right asleep. He remained asleep until the water was place on his forehead at which time his eyes suddenly open wide. He appeared to be a little confused over the fact that he was having water put on him while not in his bathtub.
We are now half way through August. Melissa went back to work on August 9, so we are attempting to get Jordan into a little bit more of a routine. He is doing better at night but continues to be a bit inconsitent. Overall, we are very pleased with how he is developing and love the little guy more and more everyday.
The whole baptism thing wore Jordan out.

7 Weeks have passed......
It's hard to believe seven weeks have already passed. Jordan continues to grow and explore the world around him (all with his eyes at this point). He will have his next doctor's checkup on July 22. We look forward to finding out what his measurements are. We have been getting SOME sleep at night. Jordan really isn't on a sleep schedule at this point, he has some good nights and some bad. Overall, he has been an incredible blessing and welcome addition to our home. We can't wait to see what the next couple months have in store for us.

Welcome to the family Jordan Edward Bussa!
On May 22, 2010 at 12:41 PM Melissa and I welcomed our firstborn son into the world. Jordan Edward was born 6 lbs 9 ounces and 17 inches in length. It is difficult to even put into words how excited Melissa and I are.
Melissa and I left for the hospital at 4:30 AM after Melissa woke up to find that her water had broke. The doctors determined that the baby was facing the wrong direction and if he remained that way labor would take a lot longer. After a few "bed gymnastics" the baby turned himself around and the labor process kicked into high gear immediately.
At 12:24 PM Melissa was asked to start pushing during contractions. It only took 17 minutes of pushing to bring Jordan into the world. Dr. Wolfe delivered Jordan at 12:41 PM. Melissa did an amazing job through out the whole process and made me a very proud husband and father.
The first 24 hours after Jordan's birth were spent gathering information from the doctors/nurses and most of all bonding with our son. We had many visitors, most notably Jordan's Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles all made it to the hospital to visit. He is a very welcomed addition to the entire family.
